Privacy policy
This policy explains how NSMQ Game (Android package com.GuildGames.NSMQGame) handles information. The game is published by Guild Games ("we", "us"). You can reach us at guildstudios676@gmail.com.
The short version. You do not create an account and we do not run a server that stores your progress. Your scores, coins, settings and practice history stay on your phone. The app shows ads (provided by Unity LevelPlay and its partners), sells optional purchases through Google Play, sends basic usage statistics to Unity, and can send achievements to Google Play Games. Those services process some device information, described below.
1. What stays on your phone
- Your progress: contest results, scores, coins, medals, power-ups, achievements, level and practice statistics.
- Your settings: sound, text size, answer mode, read-aloud and reminder preferences.
- A record of the purchases you own, so the game can unlock them.
- Question pictures the app has downloaded, so they work offline.
We do not receive this information. It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage (see Delete your data), subject to your phone's backup settings.
2. What we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number or password. There is no sign-up.
- No contacts, photos, camera or microphone recordings.
- No precise location. The app does not ask for or use your GPS location.
- We do not build profiles of individual players or run our own analytics server. The basic usage statistics described in section 3 are collected by Unity's services built into the app.
3. Services that process data
| Service | What it is for | Information it may process |
|---|---|---|
| Unity LevelPlay and its ad partners (including Unity Ads) | Showing ads between contests and optional rewarded ads, measuring them and preventing fraud. | Advertising ID, IP address, approximate location from IP, device and operating-system details, app and ad interactions. Ad partners may change by region and over time. |
| Unity services built into the app (Unity Analytics and Unity In-App Purchasing) | Basic, aggregate usage statistics so we can see how many people use the app and on which devices, and the plumbing that makes purchases work. | App sessions, device model, operating-system version, language and country, app version, and a Unity-assigned device identifier. Unity processes this under its own policy. |
| Google Play Billing | Optional purchases (for example Remove Ads, question packs, coins). | Google handles payment. The app receives product identifiers and purchase confirmations to unlock what you bought. We never see your card details. |
| Google Play Games | Achievements, if you use Google Play Games with the app. | Your Play Games profile and the achievements you unlock, handled by Google. |
| Our question-picture storage | Downloading pictures used in some questions, once, over HTTPS. | Like any web request, the host receives your IP address and the file requested. |
Ads
NSMQ Game is free and supported by ads. Interstitial ads can appear between contests; rewarded ads are optional. The Remove Ads purchase removes the between-contest ads, while optional rewarded ads stay available. Ad companies are independent of us and use the information in the table to deliver and measure ads. On Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in Settings > Privacy > Ads. Non-personalized ads can still involve some data processing for delivery and fraud prevention.
Optional features on your device
- Reminders. If you allow notifications, the app schedules a daily practice reminder on your phone. Nothing is sent to us. You can turn it off in the app or in Android settings.
- Read aloud. Questions are spoken by your phone's own text-to-speech engine. Which company's engine this is depends on your phone's settings and its policy applies.
- Sharing. The result card is made on your phone and goes only to the app you pick when you tap Share.
4. Why information is used
To run the game and its optional features, to deliver purchases you made, to understand in aggregate how the app is used and fix problems, to show and measure ads that fund the app, and to answer your support requests. When you email us, we receive what you send and use it only to help you.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your information. The companies in section 3 receive information as needed to provide their service, and handle it under their own policies:
- Unity privacy policy (Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads)
- Google privacy policy (Google Play, Play Billing and Play Games)
Information may be processed in countries other than yours, under the safeguards those companies apply.
6. Children
The app is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will deal with it. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the app with a parent or guardian's guidance, especially for purchases.
7. Keeping and deleting information
Information on your phone stays until you clear it or uninstall the app. We hold no account data about you. Information held by Google or by ad companies follows their retention rules; you can manage it through your Google account and Android settings. See Delete your data for steps.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of personal information, and to complain to your data protection authority (in Ghana, the Data Protection Commission). Because we hold no account data, most of these are exercised through your phone, Google and the ad settings above. If you write to us, we will reply and explain what we hold, which in most cases is only your email.
9. Security
We limit what the app collects, which is the strongest protection. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. We will publish the new version here and change the effective date above.
